Why this website?

A personal professional website seems to me to be highly narcissistic on one level, and on another an absolute necessity.

However, I’ve decided that my NIHR Knowledge Mobilisation Fellowship provides me with a reasonably strong excuse to attempt to overcome my abhorance of self-publicity in the interests of mobilising knowledge.

So here it is.

A web-based opportunity for the world to see what I’m thinking, what I’m reading and how I’m sharing the learning I generate as I follow this path to finding out more about delivering improvements into practice in healthcare.

It scares me silly, but I think it’s time.

I’ll be using this site to keep a track of the reading I do over the next few months. I’ll be summarising it and adding a few thoughts about what it means to me.

I’ll also be blogging about what matters to me right now. Perhaps not on the scale or with the vitriol of Roy Lilley, but hopefully of some vague interest to some.

I’ll be keeping a track of the sharing events and dissemination opportunities I get involved in, including teaching, posters and publications.

I’m also available for chat and interaction. Sign up to RSS feeds, follow me on twitter (@cathgreenhalgh for me, @Cathy4CLAHRC for my programme lead role), send me a question or leave me a comment – it’ll be great to hear from you.
